AGR Rebar is currently seeking a machine operator.

Here's what you need to know about the role:

Full-time, permanent position; Evening shift, Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM; Starting salary at 20.72$/hour, then from 3-12 months: $22.90/hour, from 12-24 months: $25.08/hour, from 24-36 months: $26.17/hour, from 36+ months: $27.25/hour $1/hour evening shift premium

Here are the main responsibilities for this machine operator role in Kitchener:

Operate machinery safely and follow all shop procedures and safety protocols Operate the bender machine within the production plant Work with the rebar cutting machine for rebar production Clean machines and work areas regularly Conduct daily machine inspections before each shift, promptly reporting any irregularities to maintenance to minimize downtime Comply with AGF's Health & Safety policies and the Occupational Health & Safety Act Perform other related duties as assigned

About You: The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience.

1-2 years of experience in a similar role in manufacturing; Basic math/measurement skills (an asset); Ability to learn various types of manufacturing equipment; Ability to work physically - lift/move up to 50lbs; Willingness and capacity to work outside in varying weather conditions, and perform physical work; Good communication skills, Multi-tasking and a strong capacity for teamwork.
