Progressive Cabinets & Millwork, a member of the Cherubini Group of Companies, is looking for a Shop Cleaner to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

SUMMARY

We are seeking Machine Operators to join our dynamic team, to run machinery such as CNC and Edgebanders. The Machine Operator will be responsible for the operation and care of various machines while ensuring all work is completed in a safe and timely manner and that quality of work remains at a high standard. You'll be responsible for machine setup, material handling, and quality checks, contributing to the production of exceptional millwork products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate woodworking machinery, including CNC machines and edge banders Maintain a clean work area and machines to ensure quality, safety, and minimize breakages Load and unload materials safely and efficiently Monitor production to ensure parts meet quality standards Perform basic maintenance and daily machine checks Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace Accurately interpret production documents and work orders Assist with other production duties and cross-train in various departments as needed

REQUIREMENTS

No formal training needed - just a commitment to safety standards and quality control measures! Previous experience as an Operator, Labourer, or in a similar role is preferred but not required Familiarity with machinery operation and basic maintenance practices is a plus Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required The drive to learn and a willingness to be cross-trained on other aspects of the manufacturing process Ability to work effectively in a team setting Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

WORK CONDITIONS

Physical ability to lift up to 50lb Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc. Hazards associated with the trade
