Position Summary:



The Machine Operators will operate Blown Film Extrusion machines and all downstream auxiliary equipment. They are responsible for troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line. They are also responsible for following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices and Support plant production needs for daily operation, changeovers, and outbound shipments. Responsible for assisting in packaging of product, providing breaks to Line-Associates and in Product changeover with other production teammates.

Must be able to work 7:00AM/PM - 7:00AM/PM

Responsibilities:



Set-up and troubleshoot blow film extrusion machines efficiently and safely. Train each Associate to use extruders and setup production lines, and downstream equipment. Focus on improving overall quality, cycle times, machine performance. Focus on reducing down-time and scrap reduction. Ensure all quality control procedures are being followed to maintain a stable process and product quality goals. Troubleshooting capability for machine, auxiliary equipment and quality related problems working towards a root cause and permanent corrective action. Perform a variety of duties related to safe and successful operation of extruders and auxiliary equipment, including blenders, vacuum loading systems, skid wrappers etc. Minor repairs to blow film extrusion and auxiliary equipment. Work well with people in achieving shift and company goals. Assist with various projects. Accurate documentation of daily production paperwork and checklist throughout the shift.
Monitor operation of Production lines and clear bag jams from lines.

Administrative tasks, as necessary. Follow Company safety rules as per Supervisor's instructions including wearing personal protective equipment 100% of the time and ensuring that all safety procedures are followed by all working on the lines they are responsible for. Demonstrate ability to work with Cyframe, ERP system and enter the machine as well as production variables efficiently and effectively. All other duties as assigned, including learning of other job requirements, and assisting as required. Remove or shift materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper flow. Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time. Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space. Responsible for safety and quality throughout production Operate machine at standard production speed. Maintain standard 6% scrap or lower. Quality checks once every 10 rolls/case. Ensure Line-Associate are doing quality checks. Clean equipment and area before, during, and after shift Maintain clean work area through good housekeeping practices. Follow proper sorting and restacking instruction given by quality department. Assist in changeovers when called up by supervisor or Lead hand. Performs other duties as required by Supervisor or Lead-hand of the shift. Feed extruders with raw material and additives. Report any maintenance issues on production equipment to Supervisors or Management.

Job Requirements:



High School diploma or equivalent Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions. Basic Math & Computer skills. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing environment. Must Drive and have access to a vehicle

Pay: $17.20-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 84 per week
