Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lumber Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling various lumber products and building materials, ensuring they are stored and distributed efficiently within our lumber yard. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and be comfortable with heavy lifting and operating heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts to move lumber and other building products safely within the warehouses and lumber yard. Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling customer orders. Load and unload lumber from delivery trucks, maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Load product for customers and demonstrate excellent customer service. Assist in building displays or setups as needed for product presentation. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and efficient workspace. Follow all safety protocols while handling heavy materials and operating machinery.

Requirements

Previous experience in warehouse distribution or a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) on a regular basis. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet operational demands.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 - 45 per week
