Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Lumber Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a passion for helping customers find the right products for their needs. This role involves assisting customers in the lumber, plumbing and electrical departments, providing product information, and ensuring a well-organized shopping environment.

Duties

Assist customers with product selection and inquiries related to lumber and building materials. Maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandising display in the lumber section. Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, resolving issues, and upselling products when appropriate. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations and maintain inventory levels. Utilize basic math skills for pricing, measurements, and inventory management. Communicate effectively with customers and team members, demonstrating strong phone etiquette when necessary. Manage time efficiently to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Requirements

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; Previous experience in retail sales is preferred; Familiarity with merchandising techniques and product displays; Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately; Experience with POS systems is advantageous; Excellent organizational skills to maintain a tidy work environment; Ability to manage time effectively while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $17.20-$24.40 per hour
