Program Description: French Language Afterschool Program
Our French program is designed to help students discover the joy of learning a new language while building communication skills, cultural awareness, and confidence. Each session includes interactive activities such as vocabulary games, songs, role-play, and conversational practice.
Students will also explore elements of French culture, traditions, and daily life, making the language come alive in fun and meaningful ways. The program is open to beginners as well as students with some prior experience.
Grades:
Suitable for students in elementary school (JK-Grade 6)
No prior French experience needed--just curiosity and enthusiasm!
Position Overview: French Afterschool Instructor
We're looking for an
enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated
instructor to lead French afterschool sessions. If you are passionate about teaching languages, enjoy working with children, and want to inspire a love of French language and culture, this is the role for you!
Specific Responsibilities:
Lead interactive and engaging French lessons for elementary students
Teach vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and conversation skills through games, songs, and role-playing
Introduce students to aspects of French culture, traditions, and expressions
Encourage participation, confidence, and communication in a supportive setting
Prepare and organize materials before each session; clean up after sessions
Track attendance and provide brief reports as needed
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere
Ideal Candidate:
Fluent in French (native or near-native proficiency required)
Experience teaching or tutoring children in French (afterschool or classroom setting preferred)
Energetic, patient, and creative teaching style
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love for languages
Compensation:
