Vancouver Churchill College is seeking a passionate
French Instructor
to teach beginner to intermediate French (A1-B2) to adult learners.
Most of our students are newcomers or international students preparing for immigration, work, or academic pathways in Canada.
We are looking for a bilingual instructor (French & Chinese) who can explain complex grammar and cultural nuances clearly to Chinese-speaking learners. In-person classes at our Vancouver campus are preferred, though hybrid options may be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and structured French lessons following the college's framework
Develop or adapt course outlines and lesson plans
for each level (A1-B2)
Prepare class materials, quizzes, and conversational practice activities
Assess student progress and provide individualized feedback
Support learners in pronunciation, grammar, and oral communication
Communicate effectively with students in both French and Chinese
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in French, Education, or a related field
DELF/DALF certification or native-level French fluency
At least 1-2 years of teaching experience (in-person preferred)
Bilingual proficiency in
French and Chinese (Mandarin)
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Passionate about helping adult learners succeed
Schedule & Compensation
Flexible hours (evenings or weekends preferred)
Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Burnaby, BC V5H 2E4
