About the Role



Looking for a skilled, reliable

low-voltage wiring technician

to assist with a small set of in-home network upgrades. This includes clean, aesthetic

Cat6 runs

, terminations, and basic Starlink-ready setup. Work is hands-on, straightforward, and must be done with

care, discretion, and pride

.

This is a

private home environment

, not a construction site. If you take pleasure in tidy cable paths, precise terminations, and leaving a space more beautiful than you found it, you'll fit right in.

Who You Are



Experienced with

Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A

cabling Skilled with

terminations, keystone jacks, patch panels

, or equivalent Familiar with

residential low-voltage best practices

Able to advise on

portable / non-destructive installs

(no unnecessary holes, no messy runs) Respectful of client privacy, choices/decisions Strong English communication Physically healthy and able to work safely

Comfortable working in a calm, health-aware home environment

Respectful of a sovereign household and personal property

Fully insured (liability + WSBC/WorkSafe equivalent preferred)

Nice to Have



Experience with

Starlink

setups Experience creating

discreet cabling pathways

A sense of aesthetics -- clean lines only*, no spaghetti installs
Ability to troubleshoot simple network layout questions

What You'll Be Doing



Assessing the best pathing for network cabling Running one or more Cat6 cables

cleanly and discreetly

Installing terminations and testing lines Ensuring the setup does

not

disrupt the look of a well-kept home Offering guidance on how to

future-proof

cabling in a home that may be reorganized or moved

Hours & Schedule



One short project (approx.

2-4 hours

) with potential follow-up work Flexible scheduling (weekends OK)

Compensation



$30-$40/hr
