We are searching for an
experienced Lowbed Driver
to join our hardworking crew here in the Okanagan.
The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience with hauling lowbed trailers operating gravel trucks, as well as
Experience driving in and around work sites
Eye for detail
Good communication skills
Great work ethic and attitude
Attentive to safety standards
Wage will be based upon experience.

Responsibilities:
Must be able to maintain a daily electronic and written log
Must be able to pull permits and read them
Must be able to hook, unhook, and load lowbed trailers
Must be able to securely tie down a load as per regulations
Must be able to plan routes
Must understand and adhere to MOT guidelines
Must be aware of vehicle height and overhead structures and utilities
Must be able to comfortably operate various equipment and load/unload onto lowbed trailers
Must be able to communicate effectively with others
Must complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailers
Must be able to perform daily safety and maintenance checks
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to work well with a team
Must be organized
Must be patient
Must maintain a clean and organized vehicle
Education & Experience:
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience driving gravel trucks and lowbed trailers
Must have a valid Class 1 Driver's Licence with Air Brakes Endorsement
Must have experience swamping, trenching, etc and working with underground utilities
Must have computer skills
Must have a good understanding of hydrovac mechanics
Mechanical skills is an asset
Ground Disturbance Certification is an asset
Physical Demands:
Sitting for extended periods of time
Climbing in and out of truck
Standing, Walking, Bending, Squatting, Climbing
Lifting objects up to 50 lbs
Working in varying temperatures and weather conditions
