Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage systems, including installation and maintenance of various telecommunication and security systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and hands-on experience with electrical components, ensuring that all installations meet industry standards and client specifications.

Duties

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage systems including CCTV, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and telecommunication networks. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with construction teams to integrate low voltage systems into new builds or renovations. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on installed systems to ensure optimal performance. Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and functionality. Document all work performed, including system configurations, changes made, and any issues encountered.

Requirements

Proven experience in low voltage installations or related fields such as electrical work or construction. Strong understanding of computer networking principles and mechanical knowledge related to system installations. Familiarity with various sensors used in security systems and their integration into existing frameworks. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for effective system implementation. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools necessary for installation tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively on-site. Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients professionally.
