Position Overview:
The
Lot Manager / Installation Technician
is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient yard while ensuring all trailers and inventory are properly staged, organized, and ready for customers. This position also involves performing installation work on truck decks, hitches, and other trailer or truck accessories.
This is a dynamic role suited for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and using mechanical skills to complete installations with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities:
Lot Management & Organization
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and staging area.
Move, park, and stage trailers for customer pickup and display.
Load and unload trailers and materials using heavy equipment such as large forklifts.
Conduct regular yard inspections and perform light maintenance as needed.
Ensure inventory is properly tagged, positioned, and ready for sale or installation.
Equipment Operation
Safely operate large forklifts, tow vehicles, and other yard equipment.
Follow all safety procedures and equipment maintenance protocols.
Installation & Technical Work
Install truck decks, hitches, wiring, and trailer accessories.
Perform basic mechanical and electrical work related to installations.
Inspect and test installations for quality and functionality.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating large forklifts or yard equipment (certification an asset).
Basic mechanical or installation experience with trailers, hitches, or truck accessories.
Strong attention to safety and detail.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Valid driver's licence (Class 5 minimum; clean abstract preferred).
