Job Summary

The Loss Prevention Officer plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our facilities and assets. This position involves monitoring surveillance/CCTV systems, implementing loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and fraud, recovering product and conducting arrests of shoplifters, when necessary. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong observational skills, and a commitment to upholding company policies and procedures.

Duties

Monitor CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activities. Investigate incidents of theft or fraud, documenting findings and preparing reports as necessary. Collaborate with law enforcement when required, providing assistance during investigations. Train staff on loss prevention techniques and best practices. Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and security measures implemented. Assist in the development and implementation of loss prevention policies and procedures.

Requirements

Previous experience of at least 1 year in retail loss prevention is required. Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance technology. Background in law enforcement or military service is a plus. Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential risks or suspicious behavior. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policy. A valid security guard license is required.

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
