We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Driver to operate commercial vehicles across long distances. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations. Duties
Safely operate heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance issues or safety concerns.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit.
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness.
Assist with warehouse operations, including freight handling and inventory management when not on the road.
Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving, especially long-distance or long-haul routes.
Familiarity with forklift operation for loading and unloading freight.
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation.
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to maintain vehicle functionality.
Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing long hours on the road while ensuring safety and efficiency in freight transportation.
