Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight over long distances while ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering goods on time and maintaining the integrity of the cargo throughout the journey.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, and cargo details as required by federal regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during transport. Handle loading and unloading of freight, utilizing forklift operation as necessary. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance during trips. Ensure proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in freight transportation and long-haul driving preferred. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and forklifts is a plus. Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance practices. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on the road. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members. Must be able to pass all required background checks and drug screenings prior to employment.
