Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks over long distances to ensure timely delivery of freight across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of freight handling, and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely. Duties

Safely operate commercial trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination while maintaining delivery schedules Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to maintain vehicle performance Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and cargo details in compliance with company policies and DOT regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and other loading machinery is preferred Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for long-haul transportation Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining logs and documentation Physical ability to load, unload, and secure freight, including lifting heavy items when necessary Prior experience in commercial driving or heavy equipment operation is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates

Pay: $43,245.06-$151,424.93 per year
