We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating tractor-trailers across long distances, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight to various destinations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a clean driving record, and experience handling different types of freight loads. Responsibilities
Safely operate tractor-trailers, including manual transmission trucks, across regional and national routes.
Deliver freight efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary.
Manage route driving schedules, plan optimal routes, and ensure timely deliveries.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance standards.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
Handle various types of freight, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and freight requiring special handling.
Follow company policies regarding load securement, safety protocols, and vehicle maintenance.
Skills
Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on long-haul routes.
Knowledge of different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
Ability to operate manual transmission trucks proficiently.
Strong understanding of freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route planning.
Experience with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
Ability to manage delivery schedules efficiently under tight deadlines.
Forklift operation skills are a plus for loading/unloading cargo at facilities.
Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance.
