Summary
We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Driver to join our dynamic team in Nova Scotia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of freight across North America, contributing to our commitment to excellence in transportation services.
Responsibilities
Operate long-haul trucks to transport freight across various routes
Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to safety regulations
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and cargo information
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status
Handle loading and unloading of freight as necessary
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during transport
Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally on the road.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Proven experience as a long haul driver or similar role
Strong knowledge of freight transportation regulations
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
