Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle freight with care. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform basic vehicle maintenance and operate heavy equipment as needed.

Duties

Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading/unloading tasks. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed.

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a clean driving record. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Experience operating forklifts is advantageous. Basic knowledge of automotive repair is preferred to assist with minor maintenance tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
