Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles over long distances to ensure timely delivery of freight across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Responsibilities

Safely operate long-haul trucks and trailers over interstate and regional routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Manage freight loading and unloading, utilizing forklift or other heavy equipment as needed Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, fuel logs, and vehicle maintenance records Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to minimize downtime Follow all company policies related to safety, hours of service, and cargo securement Assist with warehouse operations including freight handling using heavy equipment when required

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL license suitable for long-distance hauling Familiarity with forklift operation, freight handling, and heavy equipment operation is preferred Basic knowledge of automotive repair and troubleshooting skills are advantageous Prior experience in long haul trucking or logistics is highly desirable Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance in transportation industry Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
