Long Haul Class 1 Usa/can Driver
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Transport freight across Canada and the United States
Operate as a team driver when required
Haul step-deck and dry van loads
Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures
Pick up and deliver shipments safely and on schedule
Communicate with dispatch providing necessary updates
Interact professionally with shippers, receivers, and border officials
Completing all inspections and applicable paperwork
Maintain up-to-date Driver Log throughout the duration of each shift
Observing and complying with all applicable local rules and regulations
Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations while on the road
Proficient in the use of Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)
Requirements:
Class 1 License
Ability to cross border legally
Clean driver abstract
Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards
Basic mechanical knowledge; ability to maintain vehicle routinely
Complete and pass routine drug testing
Proficient in English oral and written skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $4,000.00-$6,000.00 per month
