Cross Border Long Haul Class 1/az Driver
Job Description
This position requires you to be on the road 7 to 14 days at a time, averaging 10,000 to 12,000 miles per month (as freight volumes allow), available for dispatch 24 days a month. Resets on the road as required. Running open-board, Canada/U.S. long-haul
Southbound freight could depart from any of our Bison locations into any of the lower 48 states
Northbound freight could go into any of the Canadian Provinces and Territories
Must be able to drive to Alaska if required 12 months a year
Required to drive in B.C. including Highway 1 and Highway 3, 12 months a year
Additional work might be available upon request
Flexible schedules requiring weekend departures
Regional freight will be required
Must be able to haul all commodities including meat and alcohol
Assigned unit
Candidate Profile:
Company Driver with 24 months tractor-trailer experience Must have a valid Class 1/AZ license Must be U.S. qualified Must have a minimum of 6 months U.S. driving experience Must have a minimum of 6 months B.C. Mountain experience Must be eligible for a FAST card Must be able to work weekends Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more, Driver assist is required on occasion Reliable, flexible, and punctual Strong communication skills Values safety
