Bunch Projects is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Logistics / Crane Coordinator
to join our team. This position plays a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing the movement of equipment, materials, and personnel to support construction and fabrication projects across Western Canada. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, dispatch, and field supervisors to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective logistics and crane operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and schedule daily and weekly loads for shop and field projects.
Manage company trucking and crane fleets, including driver assignments and maintenance coordination.
Develop and maintain routing and permitting plans for all heavy haul and over-dimensional loads.
Oversee resource loading to align manpower, cranes, and equipment with project schedules.
Create lift plans in coordination with site supervision and safety personnel.
Assist in cost estimating for logistics and crane scopes during bid preparation.
Track and manage equipment certifications, inspection intervals, and repair schedules.
Support project execution by identifying logistical risks and developing mitigation plans.
Coordinate with external carriers, vendors, and third-party service providers as required.
Continuously improve internal logistics and lifting procedures for efficiency and safety.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, logistics, or crane operations (industrial or oil & gas preferred).
Strong understanding of provincial permitting, routing, and heavy haul regulations.
Proven experience developing lift plans and coordinating cranes and rigging activities.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams); experience with dispatching or logistics software considered an asset.
Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 1 or 3 preferred).
