Join The Team:



ERCO Worldwide is looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our Thunder Bay team for a 12-month contract! Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating the shipment of all product streams from the plant and ensuring raw material shipments are managed effectively to meet inventory and operational requirements. This role will work closely with the corporate Customer Service team and utilize multiple transportation modes, including truck and railroad systems.



The Role:



Customer Sales & Distribution

Prepare, release and distribute shipping documents for outbound product shipments and containers Ensure timely and accurate communication with the operators and leadership team for loaded and empty railcar containers Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain appropriate inventory levels

Administration

Act as the main point of contact for all incoming phone calls Handle incoming and outgoing mail and courier shipments Ensure office equipment is operational (printers, scanners, shredders etc) and manage office/kitchen supplies Act as the liaison with corporate IT to address plant IT and hardware issues Provide administrative support to the site leadership team, including filing, scanning and other duties as assigned Maintain site visitor, contractor and driver safety orientation records

The Person:



1-3 years of experience in a logistics or transportation role College diploma in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management or a related field is a strong asset Demonstrated experience working with various modes of transportation (truck, rail, ocean freight) is an asset Solid understanding and familiarity of operational systems with the ability to use tools like Dayforce, Coupa, JD Edwards and MS Office. Strong organizational and communication skills with a high degree of attention to detail Personable, individual must work well in a team environment.
