Job Description


Our client is a leader in their field with locations across the globe. They are seeking LOGISTICS PROFESSIONALS to join their growing organization.

Logistics Professional responsibilities:

  • Manage the order handling process including import, shipment coordination, customs clearing, Hazmat compliance, documents handling and customer delivery/warehouse delivery
  • Daily contact with the sales team, accounting department, customers, brokers, logistics firms, and transportation companies
  • Authorize supplier payments and invoices
  • Manage/understand domestic and international rules and regulations that govern shipments
SUMMARY:
  • Logistics: Book, negotiate and coordinate transportation within North America. Communication with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses, truckers, and railroad to streamline shipments and foresee any issues.
  • Customer Service: Management of orders from start to finish including maintaining supplier/customer communication, following up on shipments/truck deliveries, and providing customers with final documents in a timely manner.
  • Sales Support: Generate sales reports for the sales team to organize order management and provide support such as customer credit reports and order inquiries.
The successful candidate has:
  • 5+ years\' experience in Logistics (trucking, ocean, warehouses)
  • Experience in providing sales and operations support
  • Excellent coordination and multi-tasking abilities
  • Very strong ability to work independently; self-motivated and ability to create strong internal and external relationships
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Customer-focused, with the ability to prioritize and deliver under tight deadlines
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Teams
  • Positive upbeat attitude, learns quickly, and ability to be flexible
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Assets:
  • Education in Supply Chain/Transportation
  • Experience with chemicals or hazardous products
Compensation and Benefits:
  • The discussed salary is $60,000 to 65,000 per year.
