Logistics Manager Reports To Executive Director At Parkland Food Bank (PFB), our purpose is to make healthy food accessible to residents of Spruce Grove, Stony Plain and Parkland County. PFB is currently the fifth largest food bank in Alberta and is preparing for continued growth in both client usage and facility over the next three years. Our focus is centered around the principle of being attentive to the needs of clients and adjusting our processes and approaches with them in mind. PFB depends heavily on local community support in meeting the needs of our clients. As such we look to engage our community through supporting community food drives and creating engaging as well as rewarding volunteer opportunities. Job Duties PFB Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, community food donations and transportation. The Logistics Manager will supervise a team of warehouse and fleet staff (who in turn supervise the support volunteers). Primary duties include:

• Manage inventory as well as warehouse, transportation, community food donations and other logistics processes.
• Develop new strategies to streamline processes.
• Ensure that quality, quantity, client satisfaction, and financial commitments are met.
• Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements.
• Partner and communicate with suppliers and community donors.
• Manage and develop warehouse and fleet staff. Through them, empowering and creating a safe, welcoming, and efficient atmosphere for our volunteer workforce.
• Create and manage budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (or equivalent experience) in logistics or business administration, preferred.
• 1-4 years operations experience in a lead/supervisor/manager role, required.
• 1-2 years logistics industry experience, preferred.
• Ability to manage, coach, and provide training.
• Strong team player.
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
• A heart for community coming together to make healthy food accessible to all, required.

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week) Salary Range: $70,720 - $76,960 annually Days of work will be five days per week, alternating between Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday and Tuesday \xe2\x80\x93 Saturday. Hours of work may vary but typical shifts include:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 8:00am \xe2\x80\x93 4:00pm
• Wednesdays (varies): 8:00am \xe2\x80\x93 4:00pm OR 1:00pm \xe2\x80\x93 9:00pm
• Saturday: 8:00am \xe2\x80\x93 1:00pm
