WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS:
The Logistics Manager is a full time permanent position that maintains and updates finished products in inventory on order in coordination with production. The incumbent tracks movement of finished product from brewery to distribution points and warehouses. Monitors reorder points and initiates action to replenish stock in coordination with sales. Reconciles discrepancies in inventories and notifies supervisor of irregularities. Total scope of duties may change as the position evolves in a growing company. Detailed list of responsibilities below is considered a current scope and one in which the successful candidate will assume over a (reasonably brief) period of time. Wage per hour (or salary equivalent) will be commensurate on qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be eligible for health and dental benefits, RRSP program enrolment, and other employee perks after 3 month probationary period.

POSITION BRIEF:
The Logistics Manager establishes and maintains accurate records of LOWBrewCo inventory holdings, reporting on an Ad Hoc basis including EOM requirements. Additionally, ensures that distribution points are stocked to levels allowing sufficient stock to meet customer demands. Accountable to manage all shipments of beer and other products efficiently in a cost-effective manner. The Inventory Controller establishes and maintains good working relationships internally, and also with freight carriers, distributors, and other service providers. Must be flexible to adapt to the needs of a growing company.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily Inventory
Manage inventory of beer at all Distribution and Storage sites
Pull daily reports from Distributors and retail staff at LOWBrewCo
Conduct daily counts for Kegs in LOWBrewCo cooler
Keep track of production dates of beer (kegs and cans) at all Distribution points
Ensure Distribution and storage sites practice FIFO process. Identify and alert the sales team and brewers for all inventory concerns such as old stock, excessive stock, and 'out of stock' product.
Identify and communicate requirements to re-package canned product into various packages (6pk/8pk)
Brew Schedule:
Prepare weekly packaging plans for all brews based on current inventory at all Distribution and Retail sites, along with forecast provided by Sales Director
Ensure brewers have required packaging (empty kegs, empty cans, other packaging)
Logistics:
Establish and maintain strong business relationships with carriers, as well as inventory management counterparts at storage and distribution locations.
Prepare shipping orders to move inventory between production, storage, and distribution sites. Provide required documents such as BOLs and ASN forms. Book docking appointments where required.
Arrange empty kegs for packaging beer at MB and ONT breweries
Track all shipments and reconcile against Distributor reports once landed
Submit damage claims as required
Prepare shipping arrangements for purchases made by LOWBrewCo departments as required.
Work with the LOWBrewCo warehouse manager to transfer beer from the warehouse to the Retail store in Kenora.
EOM responsibilities:
Counts of Packaging inventory, beer, and other categories as required
KEG Movement report
Damages of beer product report
Other tasks as required
Other:
Participate in weekly meetings internally and with distribution partners. Weekly sales review responding to all queries related to inventory needs. Weekly production meeting with brewers to discuss concerns for current and future brews.
Ad Hoc requests to source out products, storage facilities, shipping carriers etc
Support company expansion of new brewery in Kenora
Undertakes other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience using EKOS or SAP would be considered an asset
Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data
Ability to work independent with little supervision
Database management skills
Ability to analyze, solve problems and adapt quickly to change
Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods
Must be familiar with Word, Excel and Outlook, possess moderate computer/office skills
Knowledge of invoicing procedures
