Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and enhance our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing logistics processes, ensuring efficient inventory management, and optimizing warehouse distribution. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in transportation management and process improvement, who can effectively lead a team and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency in supply chain operations. Oversee inventory management practices to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste. Manage warehouse distribution activities, including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling. Coordinate transportation planning and fleet management to ensure timely delivery of goods. Collaborate with procurement teams for effective purchasing and sourcing of materials. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline operations. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement within the logistics process. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all logistics activities. Lead a team of logistics professionals, providing training and support as needed. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to enhance service delivery.

Experience

Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related field. Strong knowledge of inventory control, demand planning, and freight operations. Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis skills for effective decision-making. Experience in warehouse management, including picking & packing processes. Background in e-commerce logistics is a plus. Proficiency in category management, packaging, and materials management. Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment is preferred. Experience with dispatching, order picking, and shipping & receiving processes is essential. Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is beneficial.
