We are a service-based organization made up of great people who work hard to get the job done and deliver excellence in the communities where we work and live.Description:ATCO Frontec is seeking a Logistics & HSE Coordinator to join our NorthwesTel project team in Whitehorse, YT.Reporting to the Project Manager, the Logistics & HSE Coordinator is responsible for managing aircraft charter transportation activities for NWTel and travel for ATCO Frontec personnel and overseeing fuel delivery logistics. They also manage the HSE safety program and reporting for the business unit and provide support to the Project Manager and Administration Coordinator, including performing the duties of the Project Manager in his absence.This position will require that some safety management courses be taken shortly after hiring.Where We Work and Live:This role is based in Whitehorse, YT and has a Monday to Friday schedule with possible on-call work as required. The successful candidate will need to be able to travel by truck and helicopter to remote sites in Yukon, N.W.T and Northern British Columbia on a regular basis.Responsibilities

• Coordinate air transportation activities for NorthwesTel & ATCO Frontec technicians.
• Maintain an air charter database, prepare reports for air charter services.
• Assist the Project Manager and Admin Coordinator in various roles as required.
• Requisition materials and supplies.
• Prepare reports as required for O&M operations.
• Evaluate/authorize subcontractor/supplier invoices and expenses for O&M operations.
• Support all ATCO Frontec Power Technicians as required.
• Ensure that all applicable health & safety procedures and related documentation are completed as required by ATCO Frontec's Health & Safety program, hold monthly meetings, record minutes and corporate reporting.
• Administer/generate RFQ tender contract documents for bulk fuel delivery and helicopter contracting, including the evaluation and award of subcontracts.
• Maintain a maintenance, air charter, and bulk fuel database.
• Plan helicopter fuel slinging operations to various locations, as well as on site supervision of the fuel delivery.
• Plan & Schedule all site fuel delivery and site maintenance requirements annually.
• Be available for after-hours charter requests, and back up the Project Manager on call as required.

Qualifications:

• A university degree or college diploma in a related field, or equivalent experience in logistics, transportation, and HSE management.
• Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience, preferably in a remote or challenging environment. Experience in northern operations is preferred.
• Experience with aircraft scheduling, both helicopter and fixed-wing, as well as the planning and scheduling of refuel operations of remote sites.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations, safety standards, and emergency procedures.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication, and computer skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
