Focus

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for Full Cycle Logistics on all shipments.

Key Accountabilities:

Communication with growers/shippers for pick ups Communication with buyers, sales and inventory teams Booking phytosanitary inspections with CFIA Booking, tracking and scheduling Air, Ocean, Truck & Rail Tracking of all shipments and management of documentation Track all loads to ensure on time arrivals, trouble shoot potential problems or delays Keeping up to date on freight rates as they change throughout the year Carrier development and claims negotiation Order entry/Sales support

Key Attributes and Skills

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and database programs) Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to work as part of a team Demonstrate ability to plan workflow and efficiently prioritize competing tasks under tight deadlines Ability to be adaptable and problem solve in new and changing situations

Education and Experience:

Post-secondary education in a related field considered an asset Logistics and/or customer service experience is an asset Experience with Microsoft Office and database software considered an asset Salary negotiable based on education & experience

Working Conditions

Hours may be irregular and in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Work outside ordinary office hours (including weekends and holidays) will be required.
