YOUR ROLE



Provide general clerical support to assigned departments. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values. The Logistics Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining the inventory database, data entry and providing scheduled and adhoc reports to management and the customer.





WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?



Enter and track data related to the shipment and receiving of customer inventory Create reports (daily and weekly) for customers and employe Identifying and resolving problems and articulating the problem and outcome to the management team Understanding, influencing and overseeing the achievement of Operational KPIs for your team Proactively coordinating actions that will ensure operations are efficient and meeting requirements Ensuring compliance with SOPs Troubleshooting scanner issues Providing coaching and motivation to fellow team members and providing support with their jobs as required Working on all aspects of the Reverse Logistics portion of the businessDirect communication with the customer*
Assisting in providing on-the-job training as directed by Management. Record keeping, log book updates, and completing computer entries and checklists as required. Assisting in resolving inventory discrepancies. Ensuring safety and emergency awareness and requirements are completed Participating in start-up activities with cross functional teams. Supporting Lean practices, teamwork and quality initiatives in all areas of the operation. Adhering to all company policies and procedures. Completing tasks following defined processes and procedures; may involve a variety of work routines. Being proactive and coordinating actions that will ensure operations are efficient and meeting requirements. From time to time, management may add new or redefine responsibilities to meet our customer demands Maintain filing system for assigned department. Maintain and audit all file records and logs. Respond to requests for file records in a timely manner. Retrieve, copy and prepare files for delivery to requesting party as directed. Enter information into databases. Order and maintain office supplies. Direct all incoming calls and answer inquiries. Scan documents and make copies as required. Review invoices for accuracy. Type and distribute correspondence, forms, reports and proposals. Create memos and spreadsheets when needed. Receive and distribute mail. Perform other duties as assigned.




WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?






Education and Experience:






Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. currency, weight, volume and distance

measurements.

PC literate. proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.

Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.

Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and

effectively presenting information one-on-one or in small group situations.

Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs and solicits customer feedback to improve

performance.

Ability to read, comprehend and write basic correspondence. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Balances team and individual responsibilities; and exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views. Consistently at work and on time.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and solid communication abilities. Ability to deal with multiple demands and various tasks/deadlines simultaneously. Work in a very fast paced, noisy environment; multiple demands. Must demonstrate satisfactory performance and attendance record to be considered.

Experience and Qualification




Qualified candidates will have 1+ years' management experience in a transportation/operational/warehouse or distribution environment Must possess working knowledge of RFID scanning systems/devices A College Diploma is required, with a plus in logistics or transportation Ability to provide leadership to a diverse group of employees Ability to train, motivate, coach and counsel others. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with customers and employees. Must possess problem solving, conflict resolution, decision making and planning/organizing skills. Excellent written/oral communication and excellent listening skills. Ability to multi-task and excellent time management and computer skills. Must be creative and possess the ability to think outside the box. Must be able to work afternoons; nights if required Travel: 0-10% locally and to the US; Must be legally able to work in Canada
