We are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our big family at various job sites in the Vancouver and greater Vancouver area. Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Logistics Coordinator (or materials handler on smaller sites) is responsible for ensuring that the site team can deliver the highest quality standards by ensuring that all personnel have the materials they need in a timely fashion to meet all assigned deadlines.
Additionally, the Logistics Coordinator will ensure that all site-based materials, equipment and consumables are being accounted for and put in their designated areas. Finally, the Logistics Coordinator will organize and execute crane time as required.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for:
  • Setting systems and processes on the site to ensure all materials and equipment are accounted for and allocated to the appropriate location they are required
  • Communicate and organize crane lifts for preloads and other material/equipment deliveries
  • Confirm received orders have arrived correctly and contact vendors if there are backorders
  • Inventory control for all site-related materials and equipment brought to the site
  • Track and monitor incoming order processes with PMP shop and various suppliers
  • Constantly strive to improve processes for the team
  • Coordinate material pick-ups and deliveries
  • Unload delivery trucks as required either by hand, forklift, telehandler,
  • Coordinate daily material requests and placing vendor orders in consultation with multiple foremen
  • Maintain site relationships with key suppliers and vendors
  • Maintain a detailed daily, weekly, and monthly schedule to account for multiple orders, deliveries, meetings, and personnel
  • Work with the Inventory Control Manager and the Purchasing Team on delivery schedules for materials or equipment arriving on site from Shop
  • On larger sites, direct the activities of the Material Handlers
  • Work with the Site Admin to track company tools and schedule maintenance on company equipment
  • Performs other duties as required

Education and Experience
  • Warehouse and/or Shipping & Receiving experience is an asset
  • Product knowledge of plumbing & mechanical components an asset
  • WHMIS, dangerous goods, variable reach forklift and regular forklift tickets an asset
  • Working knowledge of forklifts, man lifts, pallet jacks is an asset
  • Construction industry experience would be considered an asset
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office products is required
  • Have rigging and crane signal knowledge is an asset

Work Conditions
  • This is a full-time position
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Overtime as required
