This drive leads us to revolutionize the door industry and help people walk through walls.Overview: This is a 10-15-week full-time contract position covering a leave of absence for in which the person will perform a variety of duties to support Production and Inventory Control department to assure on time shipments by acting as a liaison between freight carriers and production and sales. This position processes necessary documentation to support finance and global logistics. Are you outgoing and friendly in nature? If so, this position may be for you!Responsibilities:

  • Manages work order close through ship confirm activities to support order invoicing
  • Coordinates LTL and small package shipping documentation and carrier pick-ups per Business requirements
  • Creates shipping documentation
  • Provides "Proof of Delivery" documentation by Business areas
  • Facilitates customers' special requests with Business areas
  • Calculates and communicates freight/shipping rates to appropriate Business areas
  • Files freight claims with carriers, update appropriate reports, and coordinate returns and replacements
  • Creates shipping documentation including bills of lading, shipping labels, and export paperwork
  • Enters system receipts in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Implements workflow, process improvements, and standard operating procedures
  • Submits paper or electronic replenishment requests
  • Communicates shipping related information with Business areas and Shippers
  • Prepares periodic or ad-hoc reports
  • Provides periodic backup support for other (Production/Operations) Scheduling & Inventory Planning department personnel
  • Investigates freight claims and makes freight arrangements
  • Assists with physical inventories
  • Enters daily material replenishment WIP jobs as needed
  • Achieves business objectives by maintaining a consistent process of work order to the carrier to ensure ship confirm dates
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong detail and analytical skills
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Must be flexible in an ever-changing environment
  • Willingness to be cooperate in day-to-day activities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Business, Accounting, or related field is considered an asset
  • 1-3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
