The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the accurate and timely planning, organization, and execution of all logistics and shipping activities within the company. The position oversees key components of the logistics function, including coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing carrier relationships, maintaining shipment schedules, monitoring inventory movement, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations and customer requirements. This role will be an onsite role working out of our Emerson Milling office located in Emerson, Manitoba.

Key Responsibilities

Process customer purchase orders and prepare labels and tags for warehouse personnel

Coordinate shipments with freight companies or brokers as necessary

Prepare shipping documents for customs, transport, and warehousing such as invoices, purchase orders and bills of lading

Plan and track the shipment of products according to customer requirements

Railcar pricing, ordering, tracking and demurrage charges

Maintain updated records of orders, suppliers and customers

Facilitate payment for suppliers and producers

Support Sales, Purchasing and other internal departments as required

Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws to remain HACCP compliant

All other tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications

Administrative/Logistics experience considered an asset

Proficiency with Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

Self-motivated attitude and able to work well within a small team

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Able to multi-task with strong attention to detail
