Graphite Innovation and Technologies (GIT) is currently recruiting to fulfill this challenging Logistics Co-ordinator role to further support the scale up of Manufacturing.
Key Aspects of the Position

  • Front facing Quote fare and rates for cargo shipment.
  • Respond to and qualify incoming enquiries.
  • Work closely with other team and partners to grow the organization.
  • Knowledge of Approval and Reconciliation process for Freight Invoices.
  • Ability to Negotiate freight quotes to ensure best rates/services for shipping.
  • Liaise and develop a professional working rapport with government agencies and external support services that may influence or assist inbound or outbound freight movement.
  • Works on new initiatives and process improvements regarding shipping processes.
  • Good working knowledge of logistics and distribution, shipping, freight forwarding, carriers, LTL, freight ground and air and sea.
  • US and Canadian Customs, EU and Asia-Pac Customs experience.
  • Experiencing in ownership of custom clearance with documentation for POD, exporter/importer record verification, tariff code, pricing queries.
  • Prepare and submit all required documentation. Liaise with booking agents, Carrier and Freight Forwarders, Freight Brokering and 3PL.
  • Maintains an accurate audit trial of shipments/exports to end user.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and carriers.
  • Ability to negotiate rates between carriers.
  • Working experience with AWB, COS, COO, DG, POD.

Job Brief / Summary & Specific Skills The successful candidate be responsible for assist the Supply Chain Manager to establish and expand customer base by maintaining good customer relationships and on time delivery.
  • Hands-on experience within Manufacturing, Warehousing, Distribution Centre.
  • Demonstrate analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Be safety oriented and be able to measure risks before actions.
  • Preparation and handling of commercial & trucking paperwork, shipping documents flows and processing procedures.
  • Ability to liaise with internal teams to exchange both routine and critical information on Logistics/Freight.
  • Ability to organize workload to meet established timelines and priorities and to follow Manufacturing & Warehousing protocols.
  • Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain to resolve day to day production issues.
  • Support process improvement ideas and cost reduction projects as directed.
  • Support Supply Chain Manager with Departmental Goals, both Key Performance Indicators and Objective & Key Results.
  • Outstanding Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Exemplary Organizational and Time Management Skills.
  • Preparation and handling of commercial & trucking paperwork, shipping documents flows and processing procedures.
Educational & Training Background
  • Possession of Diploma in Materials or Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing environment.
  • Good working knowledge of logistics and distribution, shipping, freight forwarding, carriers, LTL, freight ground and air and sea.
  • Knowledge of Shipping Documentation, Procedures and DG. (Ground / Air / Sea Freight)
  • Prior working experience with lean / process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven communication skills - written & oral
  • Demonstrated drive, initiative & flexibility to ensure task completion.
  • Log designation considered an asset.
