What We Are Looking For Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will have several roles and accountabilities:

  • Coordinate drivers and deliveries according to availabilities and carrier profile requirements;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and other logistics providers;
  • Assist in developing and negotiating rates and contracts with carriers and logistics providers;
  • Track shipments and ensure they are delivered on time and in the correct quantity;
  • Liaise with field staff and drivers to identify and rectify issues in real time;
  • Manage logistics budget and ensure expenses are within budgetary constraints;
  • Bid route pricing and manage planned RFP processes;
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to streamline the logistics process;
  • Complete assigned duties accurately and on-time;
  • Present data to all levels of Broadbill Energy leadership;
  • The position may also carry out special projects.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma;
  • Some post-secondary education in the areas of supply chain management and/or logistics preferred;
  • Minimum 3 years managing logistics or transportation coordination, at least 5 years progressive experience preferred;
  • Experience in or knowledge of oil and gas industry considered an asset;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements;
  • Previous customer service experience;
  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in high pressure environments;
  • Assertive and mission-oriented;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment where continuous improvement is the driving force;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and logistics software programs.
