Logistics Coordinator

Hillside Gardens is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Logistics Coordinator

with experience in cross-border freight, logistics management, and commercial shipments. A minimum of

two years of experience in the freight or transportation industry

is required.

Position Overview

The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring Hillside Gardens' products, equipment, and supplies move efficiently across domestic and international borders. This position supports daily sales and production operations by coordinating shipments, managing logistics documentation, and working closely with carriers and freight partners to ensure reliable service and value for our customers.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of domestic and international shipping, customs clearance, and logistics documentation. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy problem-solving, and work well collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Book freight with carriers and brokers for all inbound and outbound shipments Track and monitor shipments end-to-end, proactively communicating delays or risks Maintain accurate shipment records, delivery timelines, and carrier performance data Prepare and manage logistics documentation, including commercial invoices, picking tickets, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other regulatory paperwork Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance Receive, review, and process all shipping and receiving documentation Support inspection of inbound product and ensure proper documentation in coordination with shipping and receiving teams Communicate regularly with customers regarding order status, documentation, and delivery updates Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers Resolve shipping delays, customs issues, and documentation discrepancies Identify opportunities to reduce freight costs, improve delivery performance, and streamline logistics processes Contribute to improvements in logistics systems, workflows, and reporting Provide after-hours support as required, including occasional evening or weekend availability to support operations and resolve urgent logistics issues

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum

2 years of experience

in logistics, transportation, dispatch, or shipping operations Experience managing

FTL and LTL shipments

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment Proficiency with logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel required) Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Hours of Work

7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This is an

In-office position

. Occasional evening or weekend work as required

Compensation

$28.50 per hour
