Job Posting Title: Logistics Coordinator
Time Type: Full TimeCore Purpose and Essence of the Position: The Logistics Coordinator, Operations Lead is responsible for the operation of a section within the Warehouse function. Supporting the Management Team with the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, responsible for a group of operators and ensuring an efficient warehouse operation in achieving business targets.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Operations

• Assist in running an efficient warehouse operation which fulfils operational and customer demand and meet set targets
• Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change
• Produce regular reports and statistics as and when required
• Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency

People Management

• Communicate with staff on a regular basis to ensure awareness of priorities, targets and operational requirements
• Report progress updates, key achievements, and any concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Manager
• Actively committed to teams' development and growth
• Have a collaborative approach to working with others.

Safety

• Ensure that working area is clean and all equipment stored in its proper place at the end of the shift
• Ensure that all lifting and maneuvering of products and materials is carried out in accordance with proper handling procedures
• Ensure staff comply to health and safety regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in the warehouse environment.

Customer Service

• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies when required in a timely manner.

PRIMARY INTERACTIONS:

• The primary exchange will be working with supervisors, warehouse operators and Forklift

• Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management System)
• Proficient in MS Word (Outlook and Excel)

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma or degree in Supply chain management, Logistics or Business Administration
• 2-3 years of leadership experience in warehousing environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:This position may require standing and walking for up to 80% of the time. Ability to lift boxes weighting up to 50 pounds.
