Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Compliance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements while also promoting best practices across various departments. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs and policies that adhere to regulatory standards.

Duties



Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs that align with logistics industry regulations and company policies. Conduct regular audits of transportation management systems to ensure adherence to compliance standards. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Collaborate with management to create and update safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans. Facilitate safety meetings and training sessions, providing guidance on best practices for workplace safety. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports. Maintain all aspects of US DOT, CANADA MTO, IFTA, IRP licensing and plating Maintain maintenance and driver files as per appropriate legislation and company policies Audit log compliance, roadside inspections, and drive cameras to identify potential safety issues Participate in claims as necessary Maintain all aspects of Drug and Alcohol Program Review carrier documents to ensure compliance is maintained Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting the organization.

Requirements



Experience in Logistics Compliance is required. Familiarity with transportation management systems Strong knowledge of MTO, DOT and OHSA regulations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective training development and employee engagement. Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to fine details. Ability to analyze data related to workplace incidents and develop actionable insights. Proficient in conducting risk assessments and implementing preventive measures. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining documentation. Ability to work collaboratively across departments to foster a culture of safety.
