Position: Logistics and Compliance Analyst

Job Overview: Functioning with minimal oversight, this role takes ownership and responsibility for the end-to-end process of material setup, supplier maintenance, costing, forecasting, replenishment and owning our On Time in Full (OTIF) and infractions processes. Accountabilities: Data Analysis & Validation:

  • Set-up, validate and maintain accurate data pertaining to suppliers products (manual and Supplier Portal), cost/discounts, price changes, promotional activity using provided tools and procedures.
  • Actively review data for anomalies and make necessary corrections.
  • Provides analytical insight from large volumes of data to drive efficiency within the Supply Chain team.
  • Works with multiple computer systems and data inputs to create the desired output for necessary groups.
Error Resolution:
  • Communicate via phone, email and in-person with Category Managers and Suppliers to deliver relevant information and feedback.
  • Identify source of error and follow-up with appropriate stakeholder with recommendations.
Supplier Performance:
  • Investigates vendor service level issues.
Reporting:
  • Maintain a central log of issues to provide all stakeholders and management with visibility to recurring issues and sources of issues.
  • Regularly gather and analyse data from multiple reports to guide decisions and improve performance.
  • Communicate the results of collected data/information to both internal and external parties.
  • Provide data for current and new projects. Also assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned.
Customer Service:
  • Execute and respond to other departments, supplier requests and management requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support Supply Chain team with additional projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to both internal and external parties.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma required, preferably in a Business Administration Field of Study.
  • Strong knowledge of grocery retail business and logistics/transportation.
  • Prior experience in data analysis and resolution.
  • 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in retail environment required.
  • 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with an ERP.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relay data.
  • Strong computer skills, often using multiple systems.
  • High proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook is required. Will be required to create pivot tables, graphs, charts, etc.
  • Working knowledge in Access/SQL Queries is an asset.
Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a hybrid model of office and home environment with participation in meetings.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing retail landscape with deadlines.
  • Will require extensive analysis of data on the computer for long periods of time.
