Reporting to the Logistics Manager, a Logistics Analyst is accountable for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, collaborating with supply chain and warehouse teams, and analyzing shipment trends to effectively achieve departmental goals!

This role operates with a high level of autonomy and therefore must have high levels of knowledge in logistics fundamentals, and a drive for challenging the status quo to implement improvement.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

Logistics analytics

Build and maintain logistics dashboards to report on freight activities, initiatives, and projects.

Identify areas of inefficiencies in processes to drive freight optimization and cost savings.

Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments

Scheduling of inbound and outbound truckload with applicable parties

Quote and coordinate inbound air expedite shipments from overseas suppliers

Address any ocean inquiries through ocean management system

Investigate and process freight claims

Review and file freight claims with carriers

Facilitate inspection of goods and completion of invoicing carriers

Monitor and process claim payments

Investigate delivery issues

RCCM issues brought forward by customers, carriers, etc.

RCCM fines from retail customers for late deliveries

Customs compliance

Collaborate and assist with correcting issues on LVS and HVS entries

Collaborate and assist on customs audits

Freight audit pay

Review weekly freight funding files and correct any GL exceptions.

Review monthly freight accrual files

Identify areas of overspend to drive savings opportunities

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

• Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in logistics, supply chain, or customs roles
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Proficiency in Smartsheet and Power BI is considered an asset
• College Diploma or University Degree, preferably in supply chain or related fields
• Designations, such as CCS, CTCS, or CCLP are considered assets

• Self-starter and requiring little supervision
• Ability to prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities to meet required deadlines
• Passion for challenging the status quo to drive improvements and efficiencies
• Broad understanding of logistics fundaments; including different modes of transportation, freight claims, and logistics pricing
