Operations Associate
to support both
operations and product-related activities
, including receiving, shipping, logistics coordination, inventory management, invoicing support, and limited research, development, or manufacturing-related tasks as needed. This is a hands-on role focused on execution, accuracy, and teamwork, and is critical to ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of products to our customers.
This position is
on-site in Burlington, Ontario, Canada
, with preference given to candidates located in or near Burlington.
Key responsibilities
Support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of laboratory products.
Prepare outbound shipments, coordinate with couriers and freight providers, and track deliveries.
Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, lot numbers, and expiry dates.
Assist with inventory replenishment, purchasing coordination, and cycle counts.
Support invoicing and order processing, ensuring alignment between shipments, invoices, and customer orders.
Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to warehouse safety, organization, and quality.
Handle and store temperature-sensitive and regulated laboratory products in accordance with guidelines.
Identify operational issues and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Work closely with customer service, sales, and operations teams to resolve order or shipping-related questions.
Perform other operational duties as required to support business needs.
Lifting boxes weighing up to 10 kg.
Qualifications
High School
, ideally
BSc in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related life science discipline
, preferably from a Canadian university.
Preferably, at least
1 year of relevant experience
in operations, laboratory, manufacturing, logistics, or a related environment is preferred.
Experience with
warehouse operations, shipping, logistics, or inventory management
is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with laboratory products, reagents, or life science supplies is an asset.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated strong work ethic and reliability in day-to-day responsibilities.
Ability to interact effectively with team members and contribute positively to a collaborative work environment.
Demonstrated initiative and leadership in daily activities, even in a non-managerial role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, finance, customer service, and sales teams.
