Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled logging Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of log hauling and back roads driving and the operation of heavy equipment. A commitment to safety and professionalism is essential.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a logging truck to transport logs to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Load and unload logs using safety procedures and other equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other required documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Adhere to all federal, and local regulations regarding transportation and safety standards. The ability to Perform minor repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in log transportation and heavy equipment operation is preferred. Forklift certification is a plus; ability to operate various types of loading equipment is essential. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks as required by the job. Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence.
