We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and equipment across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of vehicle operation and maintenance. Candidates with experience in forklift operation, heavy equipment, or automotive repair will find this position especially suitable for their skill set.
Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight and heavy equipment to designated locations.
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle records, and freight documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues during transit.
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations.
Experience
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license.
Prior experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is preferred.
Knowledge of freight handling, securement techniques, and transportation regulations.
Skills in automotive repair or troubleshooting are advantageous but not mandatory.
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments.
