Active Lock & Safe Ltd. is a locally owned and operated locksmith company located in Lethbridge, Alberta; providing in shop & mobile service for Lethbridge & Southern Alberta. Since 1976, we have provided locksmith and safe & vault services for residential and commercial customers, as well as automotive services.

Mobile locksmith

Our locksmiths utilize professional skills and knowledge, to provide security solutions that best address customer's needs. Required to be licensed and participating with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT), Active's locksmiths are committed to learning in an evolving security industry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Ability to repair, retrofit, and install, all kinds of locks and hardware Professional security consulting given in the best interests of the customer Install, open/service safes Demonstrates electrical and master key system theory Automotive/residential/commercial open ups Called upon to assist with benchwork within the shop Assist in front of shop when needed Maintain security license and a professional demeanor Continual training and development of skills as the industry evolves Adherence to the PLAA's (Professional Locksmith Assoc. of AB) code of ethics and AIT's apprenticeship standards Proper operation & care of tools, equipment, and company supplied service van Manage an accurate van inventory count Prompt completion of paperwork for each job / spec out Afterhours on-call shiftwork as scheduled (rotating schedule)

Requirements:

Journeyman/woman locksmith; will also consider 2nd & 3rd year apprentices/related trade experience Valid security license / current criminal record check Has valid driver's license & good driving record Excellent communication & customer service skills Able to work independently and as a part of a team Strong problem solving skills

Pay:

$28 - $35/hr Locksmith Journeyman rate; non-journeyman pay is commensurate with experience Commission pay: 75% on call

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
