Are you passionate about spatial analysis? Reporting to the Senior Manager, Location, Strategy, Analytics and Process, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting location data to provide insights that will help the LCBO make informed decisions. You will work with various departments such as Retail, Marketing, Real Estate and Finance to ensure that our retail business strategies are optimized for success.

About the Role

• Conduct sales forecasting and various ad hoc financial analysis through the compilation and researching of market data, sales, and category level data

• Research, prepare, and present detailed market strategies and recommendations to LCBO leadership and stakeholders

• Collect and analyze location data from various sources such as GIS, demographic databases, and customer data

• Develop and maintain location databases to support business decision-making processes

• Create dashboard visualizations and maps to illustrate location-based trends and patterns

• Provide data driven insights and recommendations to various departments to improve business strategies by using various spatial analysis methods

• Conduct research on market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior in specific locations

• Keep up to date with new technology and analytical methods in the field of location analysis

About You

\xc2\xb7 Post-Secondary education in Geography with a GIS specialization, Geomatics, Urban Planning, or relevant field

\xc2\xb7 Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting various forms of spatial analysis

\xc2\xb7 Demonstratable experience using QGIS and/or MapInfo and familiarity with Esri\'s GIS product suite

\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with Power BI and ability to build dashboards

\xc2\xb7 Ability to create scripts using Python or R to help with automation

\xc2\xb7 Excellent communication and presentation skills

\xc2\xb7 Exceptionally strong analytical and problem-solving skills
