Katch Kan continues to develop a portfolio of technologies which both optimizes and sustains resource recovery programs internationally. We are looking for a Field Technician who will be responsible for all equipment installations, re-certification of equipment, production, and field customer relations on oil rigs.

This job is a safety-sensitive position and therefore, you must pass a drug and alcohol test to be eligible for employment.
Role Accountabilities:
  • Onsite installation and service of Zero Spill Systems and Rig Safety Equipment
  • Perform assessments at each rig to determine the product requirements of the rig.
  • Completion of field activity reports and other documentation as required into CRM system.
  • Ability to work at heights for installations with some heavy lifting
  • Responsible to ensure Field Service Vehicle is kept in a clean and safe condition
  • Responsible for ensuring vehicle maintenance has been completed; Reconcile gas receipts, stock vehicle requirements and float upon return to the shop
  • Extended periods of driving on both highway and oilfield roads in all weather conditions
  • Assist in the maintenance and repairs of products/systems.
  • Support in service bay and/or production facility and any other related duties as required
  • Compliance with all safe work practices, company policies and regulations
  • Document processes for clear understanding and duplication
  • Conduct Inventory counts as required
  • Ensure that field operations/installations comply with company HSE policies and government regulations
  • Training/instruction of rig site personnel or agents on the installation and maintenance of equipment
  • Field activity reports: including company vehicle, invoicing, JSA\xe2\x80\x99s, measurements and other reports as required
  • Follow-up of systems/equipment in the field with contractors and oil companies for both the domestic and international markets
  • Company vehicle and tool maintenance
  • Field sales and customer feedback relations with contractors and oil companies for both the domestic and international markets - Field Customer Relations
  • Create and maintain public awareness of their organizations\' policies and actions
  • Implement strategic field sales and marketing programs
  • Complete all paperwork as required paying attention to clarity, understanding, penmanship and details
  • Actively participate in meetings
  • Debrief field activity as requested and required

Education & Experience:
  • Sales and customer service experience an asset
  • Experienced working in extreme weather conditions, and with heights
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrate organizational skills
  • Computer skills are required (Microsoft Office products)
  • Knowledge of company products (an asset).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 &14001 (an asset).

Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • Drug and alcohol screening, Criminal record check
  • Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License with a clean MVR/Driver abstract
  • Must have reliable transportation
