Job Description

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Local Production Coordinator will oversee the development and production of Canadian-made garments.

The candidate must have the ability to manage priorities and have excellent communication skills.

Role and responsibilities

- Ensure and coordinate the follow-up of the local production;
Complete if needed and validate the tech pack, and identify the bases for patterns;
Complete the BOM with technical details;
Responsible for sample development;
Responsible for planning fabric and other component requirements (based on the production BOM);
Ensure that fabrics and other components are available and find alternatives if they are not;
Send the graded pattern to the cutting room;
Ensure that all required elements (revised tech pack, pattern, grading, fabric, components, care labels, price labels, ...) to launch a style in production are completed and sent to subcontractors at the required time, in order to respect the production schedule;
- Participate in the fit sessions and transmit the required corrections to the pattern maker and subcontractors;
- Ensure that the production schedule is respected;
- Carry out quality control of materials and garments (perform required tests) and communicate the information to the respective teams within the required timeframe;
- Maintain the production follow-up files with the different stages of development up to date;
- And all other related tasks.

Qualifications and requirements

- Experience in production management and knowledge of patterns (knowledge of Lectra, an asset)
- Experience in garment manufacturing;
- Communication and negotiation skills;
- Efficient and solution oriented;
- Computer skills; Ability to manage priorities
- Ability to manage priorities;
- Good organizational and planning skills;
- Energetic, highly motivated, with a curious mind and a passion for excellence;
- Bilingualism in French and English.
