Local Driver

to join our team. This role involves transporting freight and equipment within the local area, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining safety standards. Duties

Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight, equipment, and materials within designated routes. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Assist with the maintenance and minor repairs of vehicles and equipment, including automotive repair tasks when necessary. Ensure all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues. Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe transportation at all times.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Experience in commercial driving, freight handling, or related fields preferred. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as forklifts is a plus. Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently. Basic automotive repair skills are desirable for vehicle maintenance tasks. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Physical ability to load/unload freight and operate heavy equipment as required. This position is vital for maintaining smooth logistics operations within our organization, emphasizing safety, reliability, and professionalism at every step.

Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 80 per week
