Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local Driver to join our team in Canada. Based in Calgary, this role is vital to ensuring our fleet operates smoothly and efficiently, supporting our mission to provide exceptional transportation services.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicles safely within designated routes and schedules. Conduct daily inspections of vehicles and report any issues. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and cargo details. Comply with all safety regulations and company policies. Assist with forklift operation when necessary. Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to coordinate deliveries. Ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) for the applicable class. Proven experience as a local driver or in a similar role. Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws. Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills. Ability to perform basic automotive repairs is preferred.
