Job Overview

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced live-in support worker to assist a friendly female adult living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The role involves providing personal and physical support, companionship, and assistance with day-to-day activities in a respectful and professional manner.

The successful candidate will live on-site in a private suite with full amenities with in a safe and supportive home environment. Work flexible hours. Access to home amenities on acreage including swim tub, golf simulator, sun deck etc.

Responsibilities

Assist with mobility and transfers (use of lift equipment and wheelchair) Accompany client to medical appointments or recreational and business outings Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing Provide support with medication administration as directed Maintain daily routines and assist in preserving independence Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning tasks Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being Support individuals with mobility challenges and assist them in navigating their surroundings, office work and physiotherapy activities Errands and Shopping, vehicle provided

Not Required

Experience supporting adults with limited abilities or MS Confident and experienced in using mobility aids and lifts CPR and First Aid certification or willing to obtain Clear Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Screening) Strong communication and problem-solving skills, must be fluent in English Comfortable working independently in a private home Familiarity with MS-related care and symptom management Previous live-in caregiver experience, not be allergic to cats Certificate or diploma in Health Care Aide, Disability Support, or equivalent Valid Driver's License and Passport Patience, empathy, and a professional demeanor
